Dear Parents,

I hope you take the time to read our letter. We have some enjoyable activities to tell you about this week.

One of the activities we have done is we have become experts on different topics about plants. To find information we used books and the internet. To present what we have learned we are making different things like posters, raps, and pop ups. All our work is going to be put onto one display poster.

We have also been studying about poetry. Some of the types of poems we have written are Haiku, Quatrains, and name poems. A few of our poems are on our blog. Remember to get on our blog you need to type in watervillethirdgrade.blogspot.com.

Finally we had the opportunity to listen to a wildlife biologist. He was an expert about cougars and bears. The biologist had a dog named Cash which was a Karelian bear dog. The dog could chase bears away from towns and camp grounds.

Parents thank you for taking the time to read and talk to use about our week.

Sincerely

Third Graders

PS Everyone put forth a wonderful effort on the WASL. I look forward to seeing you at conferences.
